In the autumn of 2023, QGallery presented the first solo exhibition of Lamara Fataliyeva. For such a young artist, it was both a challenge and a moment of extraordinary realization — her paintings resonated as a cohesive, self-assured statement, announcing the voice of a new generation.

Lamara’s work unfolds as emotional landscapes, where figurative and abstract elements coexist in delicate balance. Her palette blends muted, luminous tones with vivid accents; each brushstroke breathes, becoming a metaphor for inner life. Every painting is an intimate dialogue, inviting reflection, empathy, and contemplation. Vulnerability and strength, the personal and the universal, the fleeting and the timeless converge seamlessly in her art.

 

The solo exhibition marked a pivotal point in Lamara’s career, establishing her as an artist whose practice transcends formal exploration to address deeper themes — memory, balance, and human openness.

 

In the summer of 2025, her works appeared in a group exhibition at QGallery. Within this context, they entered a new dialogue while retaining their singular voice. Audiences again remarked on her nuanced emotional sensibility and her ability to command attention and create spaces for thoughtful engagement.

 

Lamara Fataliyeva represents a generation for whom art is both self-expression and a means of connection, a search for harmony and meaning. Her early projects at QGallery are not simply first steps — they are fully formed artistic statements that have already secured a place in the cultural landscape of contemporary Azerbaijani art.

For me, as the curator of her debut exhibition, working with Lamara was a rare and inspiring experience. In her sincerity and artistic courage lies a compelling confidence: an artist whose journey is only beginning, yet whose voice already speaks with clarity and conviction.
